Five Delicious, Semi-Healthy Sodas

Five Delicious, Semi-Healthy Sodas

When the weather warms up, I like to drink a good beer and eat some. When the weather cools down, I like a good beer or three. A fellah can only drink beer during the spring, summer and early fall. Sometimes we need a cool, tasty beverage without the ABV, whether we have a drive ahead of us, kids to watch over, or maybe we have already had two beers and a cocktail and some wine and it is time to ease back for a bit. Maybe it is 10 a.m.

Sometimes it is necessary to drink a cold soda. If you want to get a hankering for sweet stuff, don’t drink a lot of it. Instead, try one of the five delicious, semi- healthy sodas and spend your summer enjoying flavors more complex and satisfying than you knew could be achieved by a beverage that won’t get you buzzed. The point is that some of these are spiked with alcohol, but that is not the point.

Blue Sky Soda

Blue Sky Sodas are made with natural and/or organic ingredients, and they come in classic flavors like Cola, and Lemon Lime. This company has been dedicated to natural ingredients for the whole of its existence, so if you want a full-flavor soda that is about as healthy as something can get while still packing in nearly 40 grams of sugar, then you should trust them. Blue Sky Sodas are cheap, which is always a plus.

DRY Sparkling

The sodas are made with just four ingredients. Don’t worry, said acid isn’t a crazy chemical, it just provides a taste. H3PO4 is not great for brushing teeth. A light, almost delicate flavor makes the sodas immensely quaffable. I have sucked down 12-ounce bottles in just three gulps many times, and of all the different types of DRY Sparkling soda I have tried, Cucumber is the only one that I don’t like. I don’t like cucumbers at all. How about Blood Orange, Fuji Apple, Watermelon, andVanilla Bean? They’re all delicious. Between 45 and 70 calories. The warm weather is not upon us yet, but I have yet to try the flavors. You can buy them in bulk.

Zevia Zero Calorie Soda

Zero Calorie Sodas have zero calories. The company would have chosen a terrible name if they had done that. The sweet extract from the leaves of the stevia rebaudiana plant is used to make calories and sugar-free sparkling beverages. It’s a good drink for people with diabetes or other issues, because it has no impact on your blood sugar levels, and it’s a good refreshment after a workout when you really should be drinking water learn more and salts. You can sip guilt-free until you find your favorite flavor.

Reed’s Original Ginger Beer

Reed’s Original Ginger Beer doesn’t have a lot of Additives or Chemicals, but it does have a lot of ginger. This sweet and spicy soda has 17 grams of ginger in it, making it too intense for some people, but just perfect for others. This OG Jamaican-style soda isn’t as low-cal as others on our list, but it is a slow-sipping soda if ever there was one, so you will probably only have one a day. This is the one to use if you want to use ginger beer in a cocktail. The original brew can be found in many stores.

IZZE Sparkling Juice

There is a line between a soda and a juice. It is mostly juice with some added sparkle thanks to a splash of sparkling water. The calories in each can are only 90, but they are only 8.4 ounces each. You are getting calories from actual fruit juice, but at least you can trust that the ingredients are not bad for you.
